If cost is a factor, art is shipped removing the canvas from three sides of the stretcher bars and packed and rolled with them, to its destination with the bars included for re-stretching
which will probably cost the same as shipping?
Overseas art is removed entirely from the canvas and shipped rolled without the stretcher bars.
